Alex Dukes completes his Level 1 in Coaching and Officiating Boccia

Published September 5, 2016

Congratulations to Alex Dukes! The PACE Boccia captain has successfully complete two qualifications.

The 1st4Sport Level 1 Award in Coaching Boccia will give Alex the qualification he needs to assist in the delivery of some PACE sessions.

Alex hopes to support the delivery of PACE sessions across four of our five services. He has committed a large amount of time to volunteering, where he has developed his knowledge, experience and coaching style.

Alex has supported PACE to deliver sessions in schools and day centres, whilst also assisting with the administrative side of the organisation.

In the future, Alex hopes to complete his UKCC Level 2 award in coaching boccia and deliver sessions for PACE independently.

Alex has also completed his Level 1 Award in Officiating Boccia. This will allow Alex to referee some of our National League matches over the course of the season, whilst  giving him the skills required to referee at a higher level, should he wish.

Congratulations once again to Alex!
