Daveshee, Darvesh and Deepak skydive for PACE

Published April 23, 2014

For many people, Easter weekend is about spending time with the family, relaxing and enjoying a break from work.

The same cannot be said for three PACE volunteers, Daveshee, Darvesh and Deepak. Instead of following the trend and tucking into a chocolate egg, they decided to raise money for PACE by travelling to Peterborough and completing an extreme challenge, skydiving from a height of 13,000 feet.

This is the first time any PACE volunteer has attempted this kind of challenge. Prior to the jump, Daveshee, Darvesh and Deepak have been working hard with their fundraising and promoting the event.

When asked about the event, Daveshee said…

It took 15-20 minutes to get up there, which was the most nerve-racking bit! The best part was the free fall, which lasted for what felt like 10 seconds. The instructor released the chute and it became a lot more controlled and relaxed. It felt very surreal going through the clouds, pure white everywhere like a very thick fog. I love a challenge and wanted to do something that I know I’ll always remember.

Deepak also said…

Every year I like to take part in an event for charity. This was another event off my list, wow – it was amazing!

As a result of their skydive, Daveshee, Darvesh and Deepak have reached their target and raised a fantastic amount of money for PACE. Donations are being accepted until May 17th, so please visit our donations page here.

If you’d like to skydive, or complete any other fundraising challenges including runs, bike rides, mountain climbing etc. then please contact sunil@pacezone.org.uk or call 07983 392 223
