PACE members attend the Jack Petchey Awards Ceremony 2015
Congratulations to the four Jack Petchey Award winners, who attended the Jack Petchey Foundation Awards on Wednesday October 14th 2015.
The awards, held in The Camden Centre, showcases the achievements of the inspirational people across London who have won the Jack Petchey Achievement award and Leaders award.
This year, Saad Ahmad won the Jack Petchey Leaders Award. Saad has made a tremendous contribution to the delivery of our PACE Multi-sport and Leisure service, providing opportunities for a wide range of disabled people to develop their physical and social skills, as well as meeting new people. Saad is a reliable and committed Team Leader at PACE and also supports younger volunteers and members to settle into the club.
Our first achievement award winner in 2015 was Marya Razzaq. Her commitment to the club, support of other members and the progress she has made in cricket make her a deserved winner of this award. Marya decided to spend her award money on a trip to Madame Tussauds for PACE members and volunteers.
Our second achievement award winner in 2015 was Janki Dasani. Janki has been with PACE for almost 10 years, in that time she has developed significantly. She brings energy and excitement to all our sessions and uses her sign language skills to ensure the views and opinions of all our members can be heard. Recently, she has joined the PACE Boccia B Team and will be competing in this years National Boccia League.
Reshad Saraj is the third winner from PACE of the Jack Petchey Award 2015. Reshad has had a phenomenal year, finishing 2nd in the Boccia National Championships, qualifying for the GB Championships and securing a place in the England Squad, where he hopes to make his first international appearance. Reshad has embraced his new responsibilities and supports less experienced and newer athletes to develop their confidence and ability.
Congratulations to all four Jack Petchey award winners from PACE
