Join us at Havelock to celebrate our 20 year anniversary.

Founded on June 12th, 2004. PACE has supported well over twelve thousand people to get more active. Springing from our initial community multisport sessions, we have seen sessions delivered in schools, day centres, corporate organisations, as well as our athletes collecting hundreds of medals at regional, national and international level. This includes one athlete that has achieved a World Ranking of 26 in 2023. Many of our members have gone on to gain formal qualifications, as well as receiving a range of physical, social and employment opportunities. Members have also gone on to receive a range of awards, from local to national level, for their contributions and commitment to our club. Our boccia squad has consistently produced teams that are familiar with success, including having won the National Championship and competed in the superleague. During the pandemic, PACE has also adapted to the challenges of coronavirus and delivered a range of online services, including workshops, exercise classes and our “PACE pals” weekly social catch up for our members.

All of the achievements over the past 20 years have been underpinned by the drive and commitment of our volunteers. Their desire to contribute to our services, and their ability to support our members, has been the most critical contributor towards the clubs success. Our achievements would have not been possible if it weren’t for the spectacular contributions of our volunteers, and this was formally recognised in 2022 when PACE was awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service.
