Freesport project sees WLC students access boccia

Published February 12, 2016

Following the success of the development of boccia in London, PACE will be delivering two ten-week blocks of boccia to two different departments at the West London College.

The ten-week programmes are designed to provide learners with an insight into the rules, techniques and basic tactics of the game and concludes with a mini-tournament.

Learners that may be identified as potential future boccia leaders or athletes, will be signposted to PACE Boccia, where they can continue their development.

This project has been made possible thanks to Freesport, who provide grants to local sports clubs, youth groups and community organisations that provide free sporting activities for London residents.
