PACE Boccia develops a satellite club in partnership with John Chilton School

Published July 16, 2016

Following a successful funding bid made to Interactive, PACE were able to deliver 20 boccia sessions during 2015-16 at John Chilton School.

John Chilton, based in Northolt, is a school for people with physical disabilities. Some PACE members, including PACE Boccia athletes Alex Dukes and Jagjit Chuk studied at John Chilton in their younger years.

Progressive skills sessions, as well as match play, learning about rules and different techniques were delivered to the group of learners, by PACE coaches Sunil Birdy and Alex Dukes.

Following the delivery of 20 boccia sessions, John Chilton enjoyed the programme so much and saw so many benefits for their students, that they’ve decided to extend the programme into 2017.

Thank you to Interactive and John Chilton school for making this possible!
