PACE Boccia

PACE Boccia is a Boccia England level 1 accredited club, currently working towards level two standard.

Boccia is a paralympic sport, where athletes propel red or blue coloured balls towards a target ball, called the Jack. It is a game of skill and subtlety, inclusive for athletes of all ages and abilities due to the nature of equipment and adaptations made.

In 2017, our National League Team, “PACE A” were crowned National League Champions and gained promotion to the Boccia England Super League.

PACE boasts an experienced coaching team that has worked from grassroots to international level, as well as delivering competitive boccia programmes regularly in schools, day centres and local organisations.

PACE Boccia is open to athletes of all abilities and ages, who are looking for opportunities to train and compete. Membership fees are £70 per year and new athletes are welcome to attend the club before they commit to membership.

Sessions are progressive, teaching a range of skills and strategies to athletes who compete at a variety of levels, including in the PACE in-house boccia tournament, the pan-disability national league, Heathcoat and BE Cup competitions, as well as on the England Talent Pathway.

There is an emphasis placed on match-play, where athletes can expect high-quality and specifically tailored tactical and technical support to advance their game.
