PACE members’ complete Henna course with fantastic results!

Published June 26, 2020

At PACE, our members and volunteers are at the core of all that we do. Our newest service, PACE presents, was launched in mid-May – a range of online social, leisure and creative activities, over a four week period, starting with PACE Presents… An Introduction to Henna.

Henna, otherwise known as Mehndi, is a process that often takes place before weddings, and strongly symbolizes positive spirits and good luck.

Over the past month, a group of PACE members took part in our classes, and created and designed their own Henna inspired bookmarks, Mandala patterns and Henna name boards.

Hosted by Kavita Verma – a professional henna artist from West London and founder of K V Mehndi. These lessons would have been the first time a majority of our members would attempted Henna. Despite this, Kavita’s expertise and knowledge in Henna design combined with fantastic step-by-step teaching and demonstration, which has led to some truly wonderful pieces of art created by our members and team leaders.

Below is just a selection of Henna designs that truly took our breath away, accompanied with a few words by our members discussing their favourite designs.

Once again, a big thank you to Kavita Verma for creating and delivering the sessions, and judging by the pictures, I think we can all agree that they have been a huge success!
