PACE Boccia A team crowned Champions of London!

Published June 20, 2015

Congratulations to the PACE Boccia A team, who recently finished top of the pan-disability London national boccia league.

The national boccia league is a pan-disability competition, meaning that athletes with any form of physical or learning difficulty can participate.

With a flawless record of six wins out of six, the PACE A team thoroughly deserved to win the London league this season, with Alex, Reshad, Ramandeep, Jagjit and Jamie all putting in consistently high performances throughout the season.

Their reward will be a trip to Sheffield to compete in the National Boccia League Finals, where the top teams from around the country will be competing.

This is the first time that any PACE team has finished top of the league. After the final match of the season, Sunil Birdy, PACE Boccia Head Coach said…

This is a wonderful achievement. Made even better by the fact that our athletes have often been competing against bigger, stronger, faster and more flexible athletes. They’ve really had to use their heads to get the results this season, and that’s exactly what they’ve done.
