pace4PACE Fun Run 2014

Published September 8, 2014

The pace4PACE 4km Fun Run took place on Saturday 6th of September, at 12.00pm, in Southall Park.

A record number of runners registered to take part in the run, raising the profile of the club and generating much-needed funds for PACE.

All of the runners did fantastically well, with the fastest time set being 16 minutes and 41 seconds. For many of our members, travelling the 4km course is a big challenge with it’s sharp turns and uphill areas. Congratulations to all of the runners!

Thank you to everybody who registered, worked hard with their fundraising and took part in the run. Also to all of the parents that bring members to the event and support their fundraising. We beat last years record of 45 runners and hope this event continues to grow each year.

A huge thank you must go to The Challenge Network, who have provided volunteers to help us deliver the event smoothly. The Challenge Network have supported PACE for two years now, providing young, energetic and enthusiastic volunteers to support the event. Without their help in marking and signposting the course, we may have had some lost runners!

Thank you to our fantastic refreshment team, who ensured that all the runners were refreshed and hydrated throughout the course of the day.

Bring on pace4PACE 2015!!
