Reshad Saraj claims gold at the Polska Boccia Open

Congratulations to Reshad Saraj, who has claimed a gold medal within the BC2 classification in Poznan, at the Polska Boccia Open competition.

Featuring some of the top athletes from Croatia, England, Germany, Ukraine and Poland, the competition brings together many countries and provides opportunities for athletes to compete internationally.

Representing England for the first time, Reshad made light work of the opponents in his group to qualify for the semi finals, beating athletes with a world rankings of 41 and 81 along the way.

Reshad performed close to his 100% level and made it through to the final, which he won to seal the gold medal with some convincing performances.

Congratulations to Reshad, the first athlete from PACE to represent England at a competitive international competition. Hopefully he won’t be the last!

I’m delighted for Reshad, this is an fantastic achievement for him and everybody at PACE who has supported him over the past six years. It’s amazing to see how far he has come and I hope he’ll inspire many more athletes at PACE to follow in his footsteps.
